I apologize for the poor video editing and any shakiness that is in the video. I'll try to get my life together in the next post.
Reflection: I got some feedback about speaking up during the elevator
pitch and also doing more research on how I want to fund my idea. So far, I’ve
worked on both of these issues in this second elevator pitch. This time I used
a better camera so it picks up my voice and I spoke louder. I also thought of a
way to fund the park, which involve profits made from the pet sitting service
and potential donations.
Hello Toni,
ReplyDeleteFirst of all, let me say as a student here at UF missing his dog a lot, I believe that a pet park would be a good idea, along with the "babysitting service." I believe that some of the majors here involving animals would also enjoy access to having a place so close to work with animals and other students would enjoy being around animals if they are missing theirs. The board was a great visual! You should check out my elevator pitch no. 2 at http://jakesentrepreneurshipuf.blogspot.com/2016/02/elevator-pitch-no-2.html
Hey Toni,
ReplyDeleteI think that your idea is great and could really be useful to a lot of student pet owners. I think even non-pet owners would love a place to relax and interact with other peoples’ dogs. Your pitch was really good and the board was really helpful as well. The only thing that I could say that you could improve is maybe recording where there is better lighting like maybe facing the window and opening it. Overall, you looked very professional. Hello Toni,
ReplyDeleteI think you have a really good idea with your pup park. The idea of pet sitting is a great idea to help raise funds for the park. I would of like to of heard your idea or strategy on how you would get people to make donations to your park. I know from experience that people spend a lot of money on their pets. We use to leave our dog at a pet hotel when we traveled out of town. They also offered swimming and cuddle sessions for an extra fee. I thought you did a great job with the delivery of your pitch. I also loved the illustration you provided in your pitch. If you get a chance you can check out my pitch on my blog. http://9to5isoverrated.blogspot.com/2016/02/elevator-pitch-no2.html
Toni, Your idea of a pet park is actually pretty smart. I think this idea would be great for pet owners. Being a pet owner its hard to find a decent park that has the shaping of your idea. I have gone to other parks, but it lacks the excitement for me to want to go back. Also offering products would be a good way to gain more commerce for your park. Keep up the good work and here is a link to my blog:http://pljordan1994.blogspot.com/2016/02/elevator-pitch-no-2-week-7.html
