Half-way Reflection

What are the behaviors that you have used (or developed) to keep up with the requirements of this course?
One behavior that helped me keep up with the requirements of the class is self-motivation. When you are given so many assignments with strict deadlines it is essential that you are self-motivated. You need to push yourself most of the time to do task that might be outside of your comfort zone. Another behavior that helped me in this course is perseverance because there will be many times where you are rejected, but in order to complete the assignment you have to continue on.

Talk about a moment or two when you felt like "giving up." What pulled you through? Do you feel like you've developed a tenacious attitude during the past two months? What experience or experiences most contributed to this?
To be honest, there have been many moments where I felt like I didn’t have the time to dedicate to these assignments.  However, I managed to pull through most of the time. I feel like I’m still developing the tenacious attitude, but I have made great improvements. I think the experience of trying new things and working with different media really contributed to the development of a tenacious characteristic.

Three tips. What are three tips you would offer next semester's student about (1) fostering the skills that support tenacity and (2) developing the tenacious mindset?
  1. The results are not always perfect, but remember to continue moving forward and learn from your mistakes.
  2.  Make sure you are ahead of the work and put effort into them
  3. Reflect back on your actions and assignments

  1. Life kicks you down when you least need it. Being persistent and keep doing your best will eventually show you the light. Good advice and let's have fun finishing this class together.

  2. I like your points about self-motivation and pushing through when you want to give up. These are two vital points when taking this class, and without them you are unlikely to succeed. That being said, you have ample opportunities to make up for a missed assignment or two, and just like you said, "continue moving forward and learn from your mistakes". Overall I enjoyed reading your reflection.

  3. Ha yes self motivation is a big one for this class. I can relate to your feelings of wanting to give up due to the fact it is so easy to fall behind because of the sheer number of posts required throughout the week. Constant vigilance! Despite the fact this class really drags you through the mud, we must carry on! Love the picture too, tis cute.
