Bug List
1.
After a football game, the campus is surrounded
by trash especially around Midtown and Norman.
a.
This exist because there may not be enough trash
cans around the areas that are heavily used by visitors and tailgaters.
2.
The crosswalk from 2nd Ave. across 13th
St. to get on campus does not give pedestrians an adequate amount of time to
cross and the wait time is long.

This exist because there is a lot of cars that
pass by
3.
A lot of people jaywalk to get to their classes
in the 105 classroom building
a.
This exist because there is no cross walk to get
straight to the 105 classroom building and the other crosswalks to get there
are inconvenient
4.
The women’s bathroom on the second floor of Matherly
Hall are poorly lit.

This exists because there are not enough light
fixtures in the facility.
5.
There is too much air in a bag of lay’s potato
chips
a.
This exist because distributing the chips to its
set location can cause product damage so it needs the air for cushion.
6.
During a YouTube video, when there is an
advertisement in the middle of the video

This exist because it is how YouTube generates
its revenue and also if a video is long enough it can contain two
advertisements.
7.
The Walmart on 103rd has a small
selection of produce, usually in poor condition.

This exist because Walmart does not concentrate
on their produce section as much so this leaves the produce section to be
understocked at times and not maintained.
8.
Save A Lot on Normandy has a small amount of
cash registers opened, which becomes a problem when it gets crowded

This exists because the distribution of
employees are spread thin across the store.
9.
Apple product’s cables usually start to unravel
and fall apart after a couple of months.

the Apple cables are made of don’t last.

Dunkin Donut’s in Target Copy never has the

There is not enough professional clothes in my

Most UF business classes are online, which makes
it hard to network

walkways.

Turlington building design is unintuitive and
easy to get lost

Turlington plaza has a lot of solicitors and
random non-students.

Target Copy needs a key to go to the only
bathroom in the facility

The air conditioning units in College Manor are
not sufficient

they are not proportionate to the room size.

Ross’s price stickers are hard to remove and
leave sticky residue on product

use.

When walls are painted with the wrong type of
paint

This exist because the paint that is used is not
the correct one for inside use

Airplane seats are not comfortable even on long
airplanes flights.

This exist because comfort is not a
concentration for air travel.
Reflection
Making this list was really difficult because it forced me
to think about why the problem exist and I usually don’t think about that.
However, doing this is good because it helps to create a solution for the
problem, which is something entrepreneurs do often. Another thing that I found difficult was
remembering and coming up with these problems.
Perhaps more potato chip companies should take a packing approach like Pringles; he complaint about half empty bags of chips is a common one. Also, if the Dunkin Doughnuts is always out of the chicken salad sandwich they are missing a huge sales opportunity as it is obviously in high demand. I enjoyed reading your post, and found parts of it to be pretty funny.

ReplyDeleteI can relate to "bug" #20 due to the fact that I am an out of state student. I take an airplane back to my hometown of New York City, New York basically every month and sitting in those tightly packed seats are not fun at all. I also agree with you on "bug" #13. I definitely have experience getting stuck in a thunderstorm on campus. UF should look into providing better routes for us students so that we do not get too wet from the rain.
