Toni,
ReplyDeleteAs someone who is licensed through the DBPR it amazes me how many people try to get away with providing services without being license. Although some services, such as construction, are more subtle when it comes to “show me your license”, consumers should definitely be aware and take a few moment to utilize the simple search on the DBPR website to verify someone’s licensed status. I’ve heard many stories of people using an unlicensed contractor, only to have something go wrong down the line, then have no recourse against the unlicensed individual.
