Week 9 reading:
Chapter 10 Kuratko
One thing that stood
out to me was when the book stated that entrepreneurs usually overlook the
process of identifying the market. It seems like it would be one of the first
things you do before starting any entrepreneurial venture. There was nothing in particular that was confusing to me mostly because I have learned about this topic in my marketing class. Two questions that I
would ask the author are, “Is there a way to insure that questions are free of
any bias language?” and “What are some methods to promote effective marketing
on social media?” For the most part I agree with what the author said, however
I think he should have more emphasis on the potential costs and risk of misuse
that occurs when using marketing research methods. There have been some
instances where marketing research was not effectively used and a good amount
of money was lost.
